This committee programs concerts and open mic nights. They are always looking for volunteers to assist with set up and production.

Past events include: Maroon 5, Nickel Creek, Matt Wertz, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Wormsloew, Thornbird, STATUS, Revision, Argyle, Boys Like Girls, and Corey Smith.

This committe plans special events that include movies, novelty items, games, cookouts, and whatever else students want that don't exactly fit into other committees.

Past events include: Beach Bash, Trucker Hats, Caricatures, Basketball Game Tailgates, Travelin' Max, Mobile Cd Recording Booth, and Outdoor Movie.

This committee plans comedians and speakers. Basically, think of 1 person with a mic on stage and that's Emcees!

Past Events includes: The Cast of the Dave Chappell Show Comedy Tour, Will Marfori, Leighann Lord, Hypnotist CJ Johnson, Poet Kirk Nugent, The Evasons, Carrot Top, and Corey Holcomb.

Visual & Performing Arts

VAPAC or Visual and Performing Arts Committe provide cultural programming. In addition to planning events, this committee sponsors the full or partial funding of the Art Gallery, Pianofest, and Campus Read Week (Ernest Gaines, Flannery O'Connor).

Past events include: Free tickets to the Van Gogh exhibit at the High Museum in Atlanta, Women Rock the Road Tour, Black History Month Events, Vienna Boys Choir, National Shakespeare Company, Duke Ellington Orchestra, spoken word artists, movie nights, and break dance events.

Celebrate AASU / ArmstrongFest

As the name suggests, this committee plans the popular annual Celebrate AASU Festival, which commemorates our name change from Armstrong State College to Armstrong Atlantic State University. Armstrongfest is a week filled with events such as athletics, alumni reunions, plays, concerts, and lectures. It is our version of "homecoming."
